Paris Fashion Week SS10

Friday, October 02, 2009 Posted by Nirit Sumeruk

I just realised that I don't really need to go to the gym when I have Paris Fashion Week at my feet. The Spring Summer 2010  shows have only just begun and it feels like I already ran a marathon especially waking up this morning and feeling both my leg and arm muscles slightly pulled - the result of sprinting to and from run-way shows and parties (sigh!).
Armed with my trusty Sanyo camera, my beloved iPhone and the schedule glued to my forehead - my the aim is to bring you the very best insight into what Fashion Week is all about - and what it feels like too!
The life of a journalist blogger can be a tough one when it comes to 'press access' at these 'slightly snobby' events - I guess we are still seen as foreign objects (go figure) But never fear as Paris Popcorn is here - and we don't take "no" for an answer!
(This photo of me was taken by one of my dearest friends and "fashion-celebrity" Cedric Benetti)

In the next couple of days expect backstage, catwalk and street coverage - when I can I will bring you quirky video footages too and highlight some cool personalities I'm meeting along the way.
Speaking of which - please meet Gibran Ramos - a fashion journalist for the Montréal based fashion magazine Dress to Kill, he is also the creative director at Bunk3r TV and lastly is "often overbooked, pathologically late and yet always available"

Here is stylist and personal shopper Kristina Gisors - who with her striking possy was certainly turning heads!

I also spotted Scott Schuman - AKA the Sartorialist who happens to be one of the most influential fashion bloggers at the moment (and who recently published a book called 'The Sartorialist)

...and of course, there is a bit of every other imaginable fashion decorating the streets....

...and lastly Cedric Benetti, his fabulous vintage coat and me posing for a happy fashion family picture....
