An artful (and surprisingly orange) dinner-party
Fifteen fabulous individuals gathered for a scrumptiously delicious dinner in a private room on the top floor of Le Pharamond - a restaurant that opened its doors in 1832 and used to welcome great talents such as F Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway....
I was invited to be part of the dinner to experience both its cozy, dark and lavishly French ambiance in a room adorned by florally hand-painted mirrors as well as to bask in the company of some of today's most legendary creative minds....
Amongst the guests was guest-of-honor, socialite and fund-raiser for the arts, the stunning Becca Cason Thrash who looked fabulous in a self-designed 'Gibson Girl' style dress (reminiscent of model and actress Camille Clifford - loved it!)
I then simply had to bond with the gorgeous designer of spectacular tables Liana Yaroslavsky and the very charming owner of the luxurious Singapore-based store and gallery "Pagodahouse", Christopher Noto.... after all, we all spontaneously arrived wearing something strikingly orange: Liana was in an orange sculpted wool dress by Jill Sander, Christopher in an orange Ralph Lauren jumper, and me carrying an orange Longchamp handbag....

The dinner party was hosted by the delightful Stephane Gerschel, international communications manager of Veuve Clicquot and needless to say we were spoilt with glorious glasses of its delicious champagne...
I also got chatting to architect and owner of Orsini Design the adorable Alvise Orisini who I later discovered is also the Prince of Venice...(the joys of dining in Europe!)

One of my favorite Parisian-Americans was there too the beautiful and celebrated children's photographer Melonie Hennessy...

I was seated in the corner-end next to LA screen-writer Cameron Docherty, Dovie Mamikunian President and Founder of DM media and Becca Cason Thrash - we had an interesting time conversing about the power of blogs and the bloggers behind them....
I convinced them the absolute need to read Paris Popcorn as their ultimate coffee break for all that's 'in' - in between their very jet-set schedules that is...and of course how blogging has too become a form of avant-garde art...

The same room that once graced legends that helped influence modern-day society now welcomed a fresh group of super chic individuals that help beautify and refine contemporary society's love for all that is considered art and indulgent culture...- blogging included! ;)
