Meet David Purves, one of Paris’s finest hidden secrets in made-to-measure wedding and cocktail gowns, and milliner of fashionable couture hats, Laurence Bossion. Together they brought their talents on a rooftop runway during the last haute couture week and showed off a melange of their creations….
David Purves, a French-adopted Scotsman who used to assist John Galliano in the 90′s has an atelier in the heart of Montparnasse – if you ever wanted to experience the real thing, of stepping into the mind and into the finger-tips of a master couturier, smell the fine French fabrics and see a dress come to life, this is the place to go….he’s trademark is the use of an abundance of beautiful tulle – which I just love! As for Laurence Bossion her boutique on Rue St Roch has become renouned for her eye-catching, over-sized, elegant and whimsical hats and fasinators….see my shots of how it all came together…
I’m not quite sure how I feel about the dress below, but I thought I’d include it anyways……
And I just couldn’t resist including my shots from 1 rue Lord Byron’s rooftop where the defile took place – Paris in all its magnificence….
