Francisca Mattéoli one of our favorite travel writers (National Geographic-France, Traveller and Air France magazines) as well as author of many books on travel and stories about mythical hotels, has just released her latest book “World Tour – Vintage Hotel Labels from the Collection of Gaston-Louis Vuitton” which was inspired by trunk-maker and traveller, Gaston-Louis Vuitton, grandson of Louis Vuitton, who throughout his life put together a unique collection of 3,000 hotel labels. Stuck to the luggage by hotel staff for advertising purposes, these labels were witness to the wonderful journeys travelled by the owners of the trunks and made people dream of distant lands.

"101 Glam Girls Ways to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle"

February 16, 2010

I recently cyber-met and befriended Dawn Del Russo – an American high profile fashion stylist to trend-setters, jet-setters, celebs and fashion lovers.
Dawn who has appeared in countless magazines and TV shows is also the author of a must-have little handbook offering tips on living the fashionably elegant lifestyle.
This book called ‘101 Glam Girls Ways to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle’ offers quick, witty, one sentenced tips (accompanied by illustrations by Barbara Ann Scarrillo) that guides you to a more glamorous YOU  – and might I add, a sweet reminder on how easy and important it is to take pleasure in pampering oneself!

This book should be taken with a glass of orange-juice champagne and preferably a pair of  great heels! ;)

My 3 favorite tips in Dawn del Russo’s book:
‘Mix It Up’ – Pair high-end pieces with less pricey items. No one will suspect your outfit came from a bargain store
‘Sit Up Straight’ - Great posture is important you will instantly look fabulous
‘Learn a Second Language’ - French is preferred, but speaking any language fluently will up your chic factor
This charming little book is available on Amazon and what’s more Dawn is also the owner of the fabulous on-line store Bella Dawn – totally check it out…!
