A big fat goodbye to 2020! Bring on 2021! I love a good party, alas this year we are stuck celebrating alone at home but with my favorite 'party animals', my mini-crew and hubby (not photographed) I just don't have it in me to let a special occasion go by without at least splashing on some lipstick and a fancy frock (plus I've been saving this sparkly blue floor length dress from Scarlet Roos for a fun night out). Thankfully my kids all inherited my love for parties and they promptly dressed themselves in their version of "fancy wear".
For dinner I ran to the French cheese shop La Fromagerie on Marylebone High Street, pulled out one of my favorite bottles of rosé wines Miraval and I set the table for a feast of one of our favorite winter "ski vacation" dishes la Raclette ( it's one of our favorite meals we hopelessly indulge in when we visit the French Alps) For those not in the know, a raclette meal involves the art of melting delicious French/Swiss cheese and then poring it over a baked potato, often enjoyed with some charcuterie and wine! (ps: I ordered my raclette smokeless grill on amazon and am so happy with it)
