Harper's Bazaar, THE exhibition.

Gleb Derujinsky — Juillet 1958

It will be worth a trip to Paris just to view Harper’s Bazaar retrospective at the Paris Musée des Arts Décoratif. It's like a fabulous lesson in the history of fashion from 1867, the year marking the launch of HB. It will be showcasing 150 years of fashion by displaying covers, legendary fashion photographers’ works (such as Richard Avedon and Peter Lindbergh), iconic outfits, suits, props, and magazine articles all devoted to fashion and photography. This fashion exhibition is one of the most awaited events of Paris Fashion Week 2020. What better way than to let the beloved American fashion magazine take over in one of the Louvre's historic wings, the Musée des Art Décoratifs's recently renovated Galerie de la Mode (Fashion Galleries).

A wonderful tribute is paid to the great editors in chief of Harper’s Bazaar, those who rocked the world of fashion such as Diana Vreeland, Carmel Show, Alexey Brodovitch and Glenda Bailey, current editor in chief.

(running from February 28 to July 5, 2002)

The overhaul of the Fashion Galleries began last February, thanks to a 2.5-million-euro gift from Blackstone founder Stephen Schwarzman and his wife, Christine.
