There are discoveries in Paris that feel like destiny, and Joseph Duclos was certainly one of them. This ultra-luxurious French brand, rooted in the royal tannery of King Louis XV, is a testament to timeless craftsmanship. But what makes it truly special is its comeback—an exquisite revival spearheaded by the visionary Franck Dahan.

Let me tell you how Joseph Duclos came into my life...
Sometimes, stars just align, and of all places on this gorgeous Earth, I had the pleasure of meeting Franck Dahan during my recent visit to majestic Patagonia, Argentina, where we happened to stay at the same hotel, "Esplendor El Calafate"
Being the only other French family seated at the breakfast table, we started chatting about our impressions of glorious Patagonia. Franck, ready to start his day with a hike across the glaciers in Perito Moreno, I soon found out, was also the man behind Joseph Duclos’s resurgence. He and his beautiful wife, Laura, promptly invited me to visit their boutique during the upcoming Paris Fashion Week...and voila!
Fast forward a few weeks, and back in Paris, I was more than happy to follow up on their invitation - who can resist a private visit to an old French chef d'œuvre experience? Upon stepping into the Joseph Duclos boutique, tucked away in the heart of the city, nestled on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, I spent an enticing hour discovering the maison's rich history.

The passion for the brand's heritage is evident in every creation, especially the Diane bag, which has become a modern icon (and has found a soft spot in my heart, naturally). With its structured elegance, timeless silhouette and signature "Fourragère" closure—an exquisite detail inspired by military braiding—it is a masterpiece of both form and function. The quiet elegance of the Fourragère, with its braided clasp, whispers history, honour, and timeless craftsmanship.

Taylor Swift made the Diane Messenger bag a must-have, pairing it with her effortless, chic style, which has inspired many women. Style icon, Carla Bruni has been seen wearing the gorgeous Diane L26. Lady Gaga, known for her bold style, has embraced the brand’s understated opulence and has also been spotted wearing the Diane L26 in black.
France's First Lady, Brigitte Macron, carries the Diane Clutch perfectly.

In a city overflowing with designer names, Joseph Duclos stands apart—an exquisite blend of heritage and modernity, waiting to be worn by those who appreciate true craftsmanship and the unrivalled romantic touch of French couture history.
